It states that a child is one of the most important assets of the nation. Every effort should be exerted to promote his welfare and enhance his opportunities for a useful and happy child.
Legal Bases
The AMGC Foundation, Inc.
shall operate within the scaffold of the correlated Philippine Laws.
An act defining violence against women and their children providing protection measures for victims, prescribing penalties therefore and for other purposes.
An act to institute policies to eliminate trafficking in person especially women and children.
Recognizes the sanctity of the family life and mandate the state to protect and strengthen the family as the basic unit of the social institute, sub section K- provides the cases of violence against women and children.
Protection of Children & Co-operation
The Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Co-operation in respect to Inter-country Adoption that was ratified by the Philippines on January 8, 1996 and was entered into full force in the Philippines on November 2, 1996. In the provision says
- Child is entitled to grow up in a family.
- Inter-country adoption may offer the advantage of a permanent family for whom a suitable family cannot be found in his/her state of origin.
- Ensures child’s best interests and respect for child’s fundamental rights.
- Prevent sale, abduction or trafficked in children.
